This Privacy Policy describes how the out-of-home media planning, measurement and attribution services (the “Services”) of StreetMetrics, Inc. and its affiliates (“StreetMetrics” “We” “Us”) collect, store, and use the information we acquire about consumers from our partners.

What does StreetMetrics do?

StreetMetrics is an out-of-home media measurement technology company. We provide media planning (i.e. future ad impression predictions), measurement (i.e number of ad impressions), and attribution insights (i.e. number of conversions as a result of your ads) for Out-of-Home media operators (ads on billboards, buildings, buses, cars, etc.). StreetMetrics is not an ad network, data aggregator, or media agency.

Our products and features help make advertising more relevant for consumers and allow apps, services, and publishers to offer content for no or lower costs. We are a privacy-forward company; we only partner with GDPR, CCPA, and NAI Compliant Data Partners.

StreetMetrics processes your information to measure the effectiveness of out-of-home media campaigns, assisting advertisers in providing you with relevant advertising based on your interests, affinities, and location.

What information do we collect and for which purposes?

The information that we collect about you when you visit our (A) website or platform and (B) from our Data Partners fall into the following categories:

(A) Information that we collect from you via our website.

You can provide us with information at your discretion, and some information is automatically provided by your internet browser when you visit our website. These types of information and our respective processing purposes are located in the grid below.

If we ask you to provide any other information not described below, the information and the reasons why we ask you to provide it will be made clear to you at the point we collect your personal information.

(B) Information about you that we process through our Data Partners

The information described below is not initially collected by StreetMetrics but instead is acquired from Data Partners. Data Partners obtain information through publisher apps and services that explicitly state how your data may be used AND receive your opt-in to share such information.

At StreetMetrics, we fully respect your right to privacy. Therefore, we require our clients and partners to satisfy all transparency disclosure and consent requirements to enable StreetMetrics to process the following information for the purposes listed below. It includes data generated through the platform as well as data StreetMetrics acquires through Data Partners to measure the effectiveness of Out-of-Home advertising campaigns.

What is StreetMetrics’ requirement for processing your information?

StreetMetrics may collect your information on the basis of the following:

  • your consent;
  • the need to perform a contract;
  • our legitimate interests or those of a third-party;
  • the need to comply with laws; or any other ground, as required or permitted by law.

How do Data Partners obtain User data?

StreetMetrics does not directly interact with Users of publisher apps and services. Our Data Partners obtain consent from the Users and share the valid consent with us. StreetMetrics only works with partners that agree to notify and seek user consent by informing them that their data will be shared with third parties. StreetMetrics only stores data that comes with a proof of valid consent from its partners.

Data Partners whom StreetMetrics utilizes receive their information from publisher apps and services using the following methods:

  • Software Development Kits (SDKs) in publisher apps.
  • Application Programming Interface (API) Connectors connected to various partner APIs.
  • Ad Network Providers.
  • Website Publisher Partners.

How does StreetMetrics utilize User information?

  • Our Services involve best estimate information reporting to customers. We use our proprietary tools to transform MAIDs, along with approximate geolocation information and other User data, into aggregated media measurement and attribution insights for our customers. Our technology enables us to provide our customers with measurement reporting and statistical analyses, such as identifying patterns that will enhance the relevance of ads, providing advertisements to a target audience, identifying and optimizing trade areas and business locations, and for helping our customers make informed business decisions about consumer behavior.
  • The MAIDs we collect are stored in our systems for advertising, measurement, and attribution purposes only. Much of the other information collected is further anonymized into aggregated files and use of data points without unique identifiers or only with a hashed identifier.
  • A part of the technology retains MAIDs to cater to our US specific customer’s request for targeted advertising, measurement and matching.
  • StreetMetrics provides audience curation for advertising and trend analysis, but does not create data segments that are based on sensitive, personal information (for example, religion or credit worthiness). We may create health-related segments such as an inferred interest in diet and wellness, but not sensitive health data such as medical conditions or diseases. All of our customers who subscribe to our Services are required to conform to the applicable privacy laws and regulations as well as our contractual requirements. StreetMetrics prohibits the use of its Services by others for (a) employment, credit or health care eligibility; (b) insurance eligibility, underwriting, or pricing; (c) unlawful tracking or surveillance of individuals or for generating personally identifiable information.

Who do we share User Information with and purpose for sharing this information?

StreetMetrics may share measurement analytics and trends over data collected with customers, partners third-party service providers, affiliates of Group Companies, prospective acquirer, for the following purposes:

(A) Customers and partners
  • We may provide unhashed MAIDs only for the purpose of targeted advertising. By signing StreetMetrics’ MAID handling agreement, customers and partners agree to not use MAIDs for any other purpose except for the purposes mentioned immediately above.
  • Any other information may be sold in an aggregate and anonymized manner which cannot identify you. It is essentially to provide segments, trends, patterns, reports and insights to the customers.
(B) Third-party service Providers
  • When customers (businesses not consumers) subscribe to our Services, the order process may request a credit card transaction. Order information is encrypted when it is transmitted for credit card processing to the credit card services provider and when returned to us. Encryption is a process by which we use software to scramble information in transit. We use a third party service provider to process payments for our Services, so your credit card information is not collected and retained by StreetMetrics.
  • Entities that help us make the Services available and functional, like technical agents, payment processing vendors, other subcontractors, and our affiliates and consultants under contract and with safeguards. These functions include, for example, website hosting, maintenance, data analysis, customer support, email delivery services, infrastructure services, technical agents, analytics and metrics services. These third parties are restricted in the way they can use PI and will need to keep your information confidential and secure.
(C) Government, Law Enforcement Agencies or Regulatory Bodies
  • StreetMetrics will share your information with applicable government, legal agencies or regulatory bodies in order to comply with applicable laws and investigations or to respond to a court order, judicial, or other government subpoena.
(E) Acquirer or Merger Entity
  • StreetMetrics may transfer information, including any personal data, to a successor entity in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or other corporate change.
(F) Other
  • StreetMetrics may share your personal data with your consent or if it believes that it will protect StreetMetrics, you or any other person or third party or to enforce any legal rights.

Security

The security of your information is important to us. StreetMetrics has implemented strong security measures to protect the information in our care, both during transmission and once it is received. We use commercially acceptable means to protect your information. Due to the nature of data handling, we cannot guarantee absolute security; as no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is entirely secure.

Do you acquire information on children?

StreetMetrics does not knowingly acquire personal data from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe your child has provided StreetMetrics with PI, such as by registering at one of our Apps without parental consent, and you would like to have the data removed, please contact us using the contact information below.

How long is User data stored?

We retain personal information we collect from you as long as we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (for example, to provide you with a service you have requested or to comply with applicable legal, tax or accounting requirements). We periodically review the personal data we hold and delete it securely, or in some cases anonymize it, when there is no longer a legal, business, or consumer need for it to be retained.

We delete data regularly to comply with our data partner agreements.

What rights do Users have?
